Or whichever day you next sit down to plan. The same questions come up every week; this is what you will check to answer each one.
Should I even take fresh trades today?
Breadth first. If most stocks are falling, that is a reason to go slow or sit out, whatever the Nifty says.
Which stocks deserve my attention?
Run the Step 2 filters and pick from what passes. Some weeks the list is thin, and that is information too.
Am I too late on this one?
Check the stage and how far price is from a proper entry level. Too extended means you leave it and wait for the next setup.
How many shares do I buy?
Risk in ₹ ÷ stop distance per share. Say you risk ₹1,000 and the stop sits ₹20 below entry: 50 shares.
Where do I get out?
Your stop handles the downside. For the upside, you check the trade against the hold, reduce or trail rules from Step 6 and do what the rule says.
Was that even a good trade?
Open the journal. Entry, size and exit as planned? That is what gets reviewed, win or lose.
